Summer in the Quoin Rock Manor House Garden

Situated on the foothills of the Simonsberg Mountains, atop the Knorhoek Valley, with a 360-degree views reaching all the way to Table Mountain and beyond, the garden is laid out formally in the rectangular space between various Cape Dutch farm-style buildings. Always breezy, and sometimes windy, the space has been divided into a series of rooms bounded by protective hedges and sturdy evergreen trees, each space having its own playful character. Framed with white water gardens, a bougainvillea maze, accented zig-zag grass parterre and topiary courts. An ode the owner’s passion for roses, the kaleidoscope colour in the gardens feature a neatly tended roses beds at their most beautiful. The central lawned driveway is the spine from which the first magnificent views of the house are glimpsed and along which the garden unfolds.

Garden designed by Franchesca Watson and tour conducted by resident landscaper Waldo Groenewald to showcase the height of the garden’s opulence.

We invite you for an hour long exclusive tour of the otherwise private estate grounds, topped off with a glass of liquid gold MCC, enjoy the arching views before heading down to Gåte for a three course feast framed by Yuliya Gaiduk’s architecture.
